Is Aurora really free?
Yes. The free tier gives you 10 rewrites per day with grammar fix and basic tone modes. No credit card required, no trial period — free forever. Upgrade to Pro if you need unlimited rewrites and all features.
Do I need ChatGPT Plus or another AI subscription?
No. Aurora uses an API key from your AI provider, not a chat subscription. You pay the provider per use, and Google Gemini has a free tier, so you can start at $0.
Which websites does Aurora work on?
Any site with a text box, in Chrome — including browser versions of Slack, Teams, Gmail and Notion. It doesn't work inside desktop apps.
How does Aurora handle my data?
Your text goes straight to the AI provider you've connected. We don't store it or train models on it. Read our Privacy Policy
What's the difference between tone modes?
Professional makes your writing clear and formal. Casual makes it warm and conversational. Concise cuts the word count without losing meaning. Confident removes hedging language ('I think', 'maybe', 'sort of') so you sound decisive.
